About Us
Jim with Blossey, Bosco and Puss Puss Founded in 1995 by Amy Dittig, Your Pet's Friend,Inc. is backed with 17 years of pet sitting experience.
Amy and Jim Dittig (owners/operators) moved to North Carolina in 1979 where Jim was stationed at Camp Lejeune with the United States Marine Corps. Both became very active in their local humane society in Jacksonville, NC. Amy has 18 years extensive work experience in veterinary medicine in the role of a veterinary technician. Amy and Jim feel their humane society experience and veterinary knowledge is an added bonus for their clients and their pets.
They should know pets . Their households consists of 2 dogs and 6 cats. Their "motto" has always been if it's possible for pets to stay at home, they are healthier and happier while the owners are away.
Through our committment, experience and expertise Your Pet's Friend, Inc. has established a business and personal relationship with our clients that will last a lifetime.
In June 2010 Your Pet's Friend,Inc. decided to add an additional pet service for our clients and others. We have come in contact with hundreds of dogs over the years all shapes and sizes. Experience has shown us that all dogs and their owners can benefit with Basic Dog Obedience Training. Hence we are proud to offer classes with My Dog Boomer, Obedience and Training.
Named for our dog Boomer (1996-2006) a chow mix with a strong personality but truly Amy's kindred spirit.
Jim has said it was because they shared the "stubborn factor". Amy says it's because they were "opinionated"
